In Santa Barbara we pride ourselves on our excellent public school system. For years, our schools have successfully been able to operate and guide our children towards their goals. However, with California's current budget crisis, public schools are facing less and less funding, which will inextricably effect the education our children receive. Even if we have some of the best and most dedicated teachers in California, it is quite hard to teach without the necessary tools to do so. Next Wednesday, November 11th at the Victoria Hall Theatre (33 W. Victoria St., Santa Barbara) a panel of local teachers, superintendents and state politicians will meet to discuss the problems of how to finance public schools and generate possible solutions while facing state budget cuts.
Budget cuts will directly effect the education our children receive. This is an event you wont want to miss!
