How did we make such drastic jump into Fall so quickly? With the palm trees swaying in the wind and my windowpane fuzzy with condensation, Goleta seems gloomy as ever this morning. Luckily, this is nothing a cup of hot chocolate can't fix.
Fall is my favorite time of year- Halloween, Thanksgiving, and fall fashion all but make up for puddles and fog. Unfortunately, Fall can also brings the sniffles.
With so much concern about H1N1 and the flu this season, I found a great site that can help us all feel a bit more protected against the flu and H1Ni this season. The Santa Barbara Public Health Department has released a new website that will provide up-to-date information on flu developments in Santa Barbara County as well as a hotline with nurses to assist in any questions you may have. sbcfluinfo.org is a great resource for all your Fall flu and cold needs.
I've already gotten my flu shot (ouch!) and I urge you to do the same! Every little bit helps- especially when we're apparently on the brink of torrential downpour (see photos above: taken from my backyard 9:30 am Wednesday, October 13, 2009)!
